HRC 21 Catholic Church. Dominican Processional. [Germany?]: 15th century. 81 leaves: parchment, 135 x 97 mm. Written in Latin, Gothic textualis formata script. Layout is square musical notation on 4-line red staves. Decoration includes several black and red [strapwork?] initials with faces, and one large red, green, and black initial. Binding: Bound in contemporary red tawed goatskin (now faded to white) over wood boards with blind tooling, with remnants of one fore-edge strap which closes on front cover. Provenance: Possibly from the Edward A. Parsons Collection. Use: Unrestricted in reading room; available for classroom use in exhibit case only. Facsimile: Complete digital facsimile available.
