Abstract:
Includes manuscripts and letters written by the Anglo-Irish poet Cecil Day Lewis,
who also wrote under the pseudonym Nicholas Blake. The bulk of the collection consists
of files from A. D. Peters, his literary agent, containing letters between Day Lewis
and the firm from 1934 through 1963. Other correspondents include Benjamin Britten,
Geoffrey Grigson, Veronica Hull, Laurie Lee, John Pudney, Edith Sitwell, and a few
others.
