This collection contains many copies of plates and a few unfinished proof prints from the portfolio Theatrical Designs: From the Baroque through Neoclassicism, Unpublished Material from American Private Collections (1940). These may have been created with the intention of republishing the work. The order of the proof prints and copies of plates is the same as given in the work’s introduction, where the contents are in numerical order within each volume, and each volume is also in numerical order.
