Mrs. Culver Orswell was a Texan art collector. She donated a collection of opera
music (mostly Italian) and packets of American and British popular music to the
Harry Ransom Center in 1965.

The Mrs. Culver Orswell Opera and Music Collection, 1850-1919, undated, contains
piano-vocal scores of operas, opera librettos, oratorio piano-vocal scores, song
collections, vocal exercise books, and sheet music. The collection is arranged
in
three series: I. Opera Scores and Librettos, 1850-1911, undated; II. Song
Collections and Exercise Books, 1880-1897, undated; and III. Sheet Music, 1865-1919,
undated.
