Abstract:
Collection contains letters written to
English poet and translator David Tipton, mostly concerning his work with Maureen
Ahern and
William Rowe to translate several works by the Peruvian poet Antonio Cisneros. In
addition
to Ahern, Cisneros, and Rowe, other correspondents include Clayton Eshleman, Joanne
Gunderson, and Mirko Lauer. A subsequent acquisition contains letters to Tipton from
C. A.
de Lomellini (aka Alita Kelley) and Julio Ortega.
