      <head>Scope and Contents</head>
      <p>The collection consists of five photographs of and related to poet and essayist Hilaire
        Belloc (British, born France, 1870-1953). Several of the photographs are reproductions of
        art works. Further descriptions of some items may be available in a card catalog in the
        repository.</p>
      <p>This file forms a part of the Literary Files Photography Collection that is comprised of
        photographs and albums withdrawn from the libraries and/or papers of literary figures, and
        generally includes portraits and images collected by or of those figures.</p>
