Album [A]. X. Professional and Other Photographs, compiled by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) (British, 1832-1898) in circa 1870. The album contains photographs by the following: Oscar Gustave Rejlander (British, born Sweden, 1813-1875), 22 prints; Maull & Polyblank (British, active 1854-1865), six prints; Clementina Maude, Viscountess Hawarden (British, 1822-1865), five prints; Julia Margaret Cameron (British, 1815-1879), three prints; Herbert Watkins (British, 1828-1916), three prints; James Mudd (British, 1821-circa 1906), one print; Hills & Saunders (British, active 1860s-1920s), 1 print; and Charles Watkins (British, 1836-1882), one print.
