Egypt, Nubia, and Ethiopia (London: Smith, Elder and Co., 1862) is a photographically illustrated book comprised of 100 stereoscopic photographs taken by Francis Frith (British, 1822-1898) for Negretti and Zambra, with descriptive text and wood-engraved illustrations by Joseph Bonomi (1796-1878), and historical notes by Samuel Sharpe (1799-1881). The photographs were made between 1859 and 1860. |
