Description:

The collection consists of 30 color photographs by Joseph F. "Joe" Viesti (American, born 1947), from an exhibit entitled Festivals Around the World: An exhibition of photographs depicting festivals and celebrations from the 1984 UNICEF calendar. The collection also contains the title panel and preface panel for the exhibit. The text for each panel was photographed and printed on a gelatin silver paper. The exhibition prints are individually mounted on 16 x 20” sheets of mat board. Each print is accompanied by a mounted trilingual text panel, which describing the festival depicted, in English, French and Spanish. The festivals, both religious and secular, include:
