The collection consists of 58 gelatin silver prints of Nikita Krushchev’s 1956 state visit to the United Nations and his tour of the mid-west and California. Depicted are U.S. dignitaries, the United Nations, crowds gathered to see Khrushchev at agricultural and factory sites, and parades. The photographs were made by an unidentified photographer(s), who most likely was an official U.S. State Department photographer. |
