The collection consists of 41 photographs, which date from circa 1880 to circa 1890, taken in and around Thomasville, a rural town in Georgia. The photographs depict the African American community there, and they include images of people working in cotton fields and in their homes. Also included are some scenic views. Identified photographers include A. W. (Algernon Wallner) Moller (American, born England, 1867) and Field. |
