Description:

The collection consists of 1,668 35mm slides, 78 unmounted 35mm slides, and 127 lantern slides, made and collected by Dr. H. H. (Heinrich H.) Glanz, pertaining to Jewish culture. Subjects include festivals, folklore, cities, history, art, archaeology, synagogues, illustrations of Biblical stories, Palestine, and Israel. The collection is accompanied by 3 outlines for slide lectures by Glanz title “Sabbath,” “Passover - Folklore,” and “Israel as a Seafaring Nation,” along with index cards identifying various topics. The slides most likely date from the 1920s? to the 1950s.
