Description:

The collection consists of 136 tintypes by various identified and unidentified photographers. Individual tintypes, which are cased, matted, and/or loose, comprise the bulk of the collection, but also included are four tintypes in an album page, and tintypes in two small albums. Additional tintypes are located in the Literary File Photography Collection and other individually named collections.
