Description: |
The collection consists of approximately 2,200 photographic prints and approximately 675 glass plate transparencies by astronomer, and former University of Texas at Austin professor, Gérard de Vaucouleurs (French, 1918-1995). Both the slides and the prints are of scientific subjects, with the prints containing geographic survey information of the landscapes represented. Many of the prints appear to focus on subjects such as the moon, planetary craters, and atmospheric disturbances. |
