Description:

The collection consists of one mounted albumen print, titled “English Corvette ‘Mutine,’ ‘Prince Humbert.’ (Italian Frigate) ‘Egerie’ French Store Ship, taken by the French photographer Berget in circa 1860. The photograph is a view across a body of water, in which three tall-masted sailing ships are anchored. In the foreground are the silhouettes of four men seated and standing on a rocky shore. In the background a hillside town is just visible.
