Description:

Published pictorial album, titled “Memorials of Shakespeare. Comprising the poet’s will,” comprised of a facsimile by photolithography of the will of William Shakespeare, also the indentures of conveyance and mortgage of Shakespeare’s house in Blackfriars and photographs of the famous Droeshout and Chandos portraits. The album, published by Day & Son (Lithographers to the Queen, & to HRH the Prince of Wales) in 1864, contains 5 photolithographs by the company, two albumen prints by Preston Phot., and text by Howard Staunton (1810-1874).
