Description:

Photograph album commemorating a trip across Canada on the Canadian Pacific Railroad by Sir John and Maria Millington Evans in 1897. Made for card photographs, the album contains 22 inserted cabinet card portraits of Sir John and Maria Millington Evans and their contemporaries. Most of the photographs are signed by the subject and are dated between 1897 and 1899. The photographs were taken Elliott & Fry (4), Maull & Fox (3), and one each by 14 other photographers. Processes included in this album are collodion, albumen, carbon, and platinum.
