Description:

Published photographic album, entitled The Photographic Historical Portrait Gallery, Consisting of a Series of Portraits, Principally from Miniatures, in the Most Celebrated Collections in England (London: P. & D. Colnaghi, Scott, & Co., [1864- ]) by Amelia Ann Blanford Edwards (British, 1831-1892). The album contains 50 mounted albumen photographs by L. Caldesi and Co. The Ransom Center holds volume 1. An inscription by Helmut Gernsheim reads: "150-200 photographs of 50 plates. All that was published. There is no record of a second vol."
