Description:

Photograph album compiled by Maria, Queen of Romania (Romanian, 1875-1938), consort of Ferdinand I, King of Romania. Included are 31 snapshots, possibly taken by the Queen, herself, and two professional portraits taken by Guggenberger-Mairovits (Romanian, active 1914-1948) and by Franz Mándy (Romanian, 1848-1910). The album is inscribed and signed by Marthe Bibesco: "This album, edited at Cluj (Clausenbourg) in Transylvania, was given to me by Queen Marie of Posada, in 1923 Marthe".
