Description: |
Photographic album, titled Jerusalem Photographic Album, containing 12 mounted albumen prints. The album was assembled and published in 1865 by John C. Eccleston, D.D., Rector of Trinity Church in Newark, New Jersey. The photographs are copy prints, made by the Newark-based firm Stoutenburgh & Rose, of photographs collected by Eccleston. The original photographs Eccleston writes, were taken in 1859 at the request of the King of Prussia, but Eccleston does not note who was the original photographer. |
