Description:

Photographically illustrated book, titled The Practice of Photography, A Manual for Students and Amateurs (London: Sampson Low, Son, & Co., 1857, 3d. ed., revised), by Philip H. Delamotte (British, 1820-1889). The publisher's advertisements are bound in, and it is inscribed: "Lucy Potter from G.A.D., 1858." The copy is "Illustrated with a photographic landscape picture printed from a collodion negative." Print information follows.
