Description:

The collection consists of four photographs by John White Forbes (Scottish, 1831-1904), three of which are were printed later by C. Annan from White’s “original wax paper neg[atives].” According to notes on the versos of two of the later prints, White’s daughter, Mrs. Macdonnell, supplied Annan with the negatives. Item-level information follows.
