Description:

The collection consists of works by Nathan Lyons (American, 1930-2016). Object information follows.

2001:0011:0001 -- Untitled, from the series Riding First Class on the Titanic!, 1974-1998. Gelatin silver prints mounted on board (diptych). Dimensions for each print follow.
2001:0011:0001a -- Gelatin silver print, 13.9 x 19.7 cm (5 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches);
2001:0011:0001b -- Gelatin silver print, 13.9 x 19.3 cm (5 1/2 x 7 5/8 inches).

2015:0003:0001 -- Untitled, from the sequence Notations in Passing, 1968 (left) and 1969 (right), printed 1980. Gelatin silver prints. Dimensions and subjects of each print follow.
2015:0003:0001a -- [Vancouver, BC]. Gelatin silver print, 5 x 7-inch format;
2015:0003:0001b -- [Los Angeles, CA]. Gelatin silver print, 5 x 7-inch format.
The diptych was printed in 1980 for the American Roads portfolio that was edited and published by Victor Landweber in 1981.


2023:0003:0001-0083 -- A full set of photographs featured in Lyons' After 9/11, 2001-2002. Gelatin silver prints mounted on boards (69 diptychs and 13 single prints), all 5 x 7 inches. Diptychs are mounted on 16 x 20 inch boards with window mats, single prints are mounted on 16 x 12 inch boards with mats. 


2023:0004:0001-0098 -- Gelatin silver prints, 5 x 7 inches. Prints made for but ultimately not included in After 9/11 (2001-2002).
