Description:

Photographically illustrated book titled Rambles about Bath and Its Neighbourhood (London: Simpkin, Marshall, &Co., 1876, 7th ed.) by Dr. James Tunstall (British, died 1880). This edition, the seventh, is "based on the original work by Dr. Tunstall...Revised and re-edited, with biographical notices and historical notes." The book contains numerous illustrations that include nine autotypes (i.e., carbon prints) by J. & J. Dutton (British, active 1860s-1870s). Titles for those plates follow.
