Description:

The collection consists of 41 original prints and 116 contemporary prints by Eliot Elisofon (American, 1911-1973). The contemporary prints were made from original Elisofon transparencies and negatives for the 2000 Ransom Center exhibition To Help the World to See: An Eliot Elisofon Retrospective. The original transparencies and negatives can be found in the Eliot Elisofon Papers and Photography Collection. Select item-level information follows.

2003:0037:0001 -- Pregnant Mother, 1941 or earlier. Gelatin silver print, 25.5 x 32.4 cm (10 1/16 x 12 3/4 inches). This print was originally part of the Eliot Elisofon Paper and Photography Collection. It was removed from [Scrapbook 2] after leaf 11, at the request of the curator, for inclusion in the exhibition "To Help the World to See:" An Eliot Elisofon Retrospective, at the Harry Ransom Center, September 14 – December 18, 2000.
