Unpublished album inscribed on cover Von der Hilfskasse zum Stellvertreter des Führer, Rudolf Hess, likely made in Germany between 1933 and 1934. The album contains 107 mounted gelatin silver photographs (some are photographic postcards), and 2 mounted photomechanical postcards, and numerous mounted and loose clippings in German and English, the whole covering a variety of topics including Rudolf Hess, Adolf Hitler, Die Hilfskasse der NSDAP, Hitler-Jugend (Hitler Youth), NSDAP rallies and marches, construction, social occasions, and landscapes. Some of album pages are annotated, and annotations are sometimes visible on the versos of photographs. The album is comprised of leaves of black paper and is bound with cord in a heavy slate gray paper wrapper. This album is one of four items which form the Wilkes Nazi Collection.
