Description:

The Photographic Technology Collection consists of over 700 items including cameras, camera and darkroom accessories, enlargers, projectors, and other pieces related to the history of photography made by numerous manufactures from the United States, Europe, and Asia. Included are portable camera obscuras, camera lucidas, zoetropes, Kinoras, and stereo viewers. The earliest items include a scioptric ball or "ox-eye" lens, which dates to circa 1650, and a portable camera obscura manufactured by W. & S. Jones (Holborn, England) that dates to circa 1750.
