Description:

The Erle Stanley Gardner Literary File contains approximately 40,000 photographic prints, slides, and negatives (some stereographic), housed in approximately 57 document boxes, 13 storage cartons, and 16 albums. Also included is a set of 53 stereographs of elephants that were published by the Keystone View Company. An avid photographer as well as a writer, Gardner documented his travels in Europe, China, South America, the South Pacific, and his hunting trips across the western United States. This finding aid comprises a partial list of the contents of this file, as perhaps half of these materials are completely unprocessed.
