The collection consists of 684 items, the majority of which are photographic prints depicting T. E. (Thomas Edward) Lawrence's travels and activities in Arabia, including the Hejaz Railway and the Wejh-Aqaba expedition via the Wadi Sirhan. In addition to portraits of Lawrence, there are also views of his birthplace in Wales, his residences in England, his grave, and memorials to him, as well as views of crusader castles in France and Syria taken by him that likely date between 1907 and 1909. Items P1-P488 are from the B. H. Liddell-Hart Collection, and P490-P552 are from the Theodora Duncan Collection. Almost all of the photographs from the Liddell-Hart Collection have inscriptions in Lawrence's hand. He is also identified as the photographer on many of them.
