Description:

The collection consists of 425 photographs, 444 black and white negatives, 8 color transparencies, 10 color slides, and 4 albums with 460 photographic prints of, taken by, and/or collected by the writer John Beevers (American, 1911-1975). The majority of the images are of Beevers, his parents, his first wife Marjorie Pollard Beevers, their daughter Susan, and the Beevers’ family home “Tall Oak”. Also represented in the file are Beevers’ parents-in-law, friends, and associates, including Edith Sitwell.
