The collection consists of 17 photographs that are chiefly portraits of the Victorian poet and Jesuit priest Gerard Manley Hopkins (British, 1844-1889) and members of his family. Many of the uncredited photographs were likely taken by Hopkins uncle, George de Giberne, who was an amateur photographer. |
