The collection consists of 457 photographs taken and collected by journalist and novelist H. M. (Henry Major) Tomlinson (1873-1958). The majority of the prints are views of Indonesia, the Amazon, Algeria, Sicily, and Switzerland and are housed in two albums. The loose prints include images of Tomlinson, his son H. Charles, and various associates.
