Description: |
The collection consists of a set of 47 gelatin silver stereographs, published by the Keystone View Company, housed in a container labeled Telebinocular. Each stereograph is mounted on a curved card with a title, set number, and publication information printed on the recto. Some cards also have a longer narrative description printed on the back as well as the title in six languages. The Telebinocular Stereographs series consists of images from South Africa and eastern Africa, including people, cityscapes, villages, scenes from daily life, and landscapes. The set was likely published between 1910 and 1940. |
