Description:

The collection consists of six photographs of and related to George William Russell (Irish, 1867-1935), who wrote under the pseudonym AE. Five of the photographs feature Russell either alone or with others (957:0165:0001-0005). The other photograph is a snapshot of three people in Greek costume performing Russell's Dierdre outdoors (986:0033:0001). It is inscribed on the verso: "AE's Deirdre at Dun Emer, 22nd Augt. 1903". The photographer for only one print (957:0165:0005) is identified.
