This collection consists of images relating to collector, philanthropist, and lawyer Alvin S. Romansky (American,1907-1994): views of lithographers in a Paris workshop and of Le Cabaret du Chat Noir and Historial de Montmartre, as well as portraits of Josef Beuys, George Braques, Alexander Calder, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, Suzanne Valadon and others (987:0023:0001-0030). Thirteen photographs (987:0023:0002, 0005-0008, 0023-0030) are by Hélène Roger-Viollet (French, 1901-1985). |
