The collection consists of 64 digital recordings produced from original micro-cassettes held by the Magnum Foundation.The original recordings were made by journalist Russell Miller (British, born 1938) while conducting research for his book, Magnum: Fifty Years at the Front Line of History: The Story of the Legendary Photo Agency (1999). The recordings are of interviews Russell conducted with all Magnum members and staff living at that time and other figures prominent in the world of photography. Interviewees include: Abbas (Iranian, 1944-2018), Bruno Barbey (French and Swiss, born Morocco ,1941-2020), Ian Berry (British, born 1934), Inge Bondi (German, born 20th century), René Burri (Swiss, 1933-2014), Cornell Capa (American, born Hungary, 1918-2008), Henri Cartier-Bresson (French, 1908-2004), Burt Glinn (American, 1925-2008), Philip Jones Griffiths (Welsh, 1936-2008), Erich Hartmann (American, born Germany, 1922-1999), Constantine Manos (American, born 1934), John G.
