| William S. Damrell | The publishing firm of Ford and Damrell was founded in Boston in 1833 by John Ford and William S. Damrell. In 1835 the partners separated and Damrell ran his own firm. From 1837 to 1848 the firm traded as Whipple and Damrell, before reverting to William S. Damrell and occasionally Damrell and Moore. The firm went out of business in 1861.
