| Cuala Press | The Cuala Press was founded by Elizabeth Yeats in 1908 (see also the FOB entry for Dun Emer Press), and run by her and her family and friends. After the deaths of W. B. Yeats in 1939 and Elizabeth Yeats in 1940, the press ceased publishing in 1946. It was revived in 1969 by Anne Yeats and Michael B. Yeats, with Thomas Kinsella and Liam Miller. The Cuala Press finally closed down in 1986. The Cuala Press archive was donated by the Yeats family to Trinity College Dublin in 1986. | 2008 |
| Curwen Press | The music publishing firm of Curwen Press was founded by John Curwen (1816-1880) and was originally known as J. Curwen & Sons Ltd. In 1969 the firm was purchased by the US publishers Crowell, Collier & Macmillan. The new owners closed the London office of Curwen Press and divided the distribution rights between Faber Music and Robertson Publications. See the FOB entry for Crowell-Collier; H. | Derrydale Press | The Derrydale Press was a book publishing company founded in 1927 by Eugene V. Connett III. According to the catalogue of the archives of the Derrydale Press, in Princeton University Library, the firm went into liquidation in 1942. 'Dictionary of Literary Biography' 46 (1986), p. 112, states that Derrydale's assets were sold in 1942 to the publisher of sporting prints Frank J. Lowe. Rights to the firm have now been acquired by the Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group, whose website states that they are "in the process of reviving Derrydale". | Dime Library | The Dime Library was created by Beadle and Adams around 1859. At various times it was known as Dime Novels, Beadle's Dime Novels, Beadle's Dime Books and Beadle's Dime Publications.
