Description:

The collection consists of 28 exhibition photographs, 2 photographs, three snapshots, and five postcards by Frank Armstrong (American, born 1935), a commercial photographer and art photographer specializing in Southwestern subjects. The exhibition prints are views of landscapes and architecture seen along various roads around the American West, predominantly in Texas. The photographic postcards were sent by Armstrong to the staff of the Ransom Center between 1979 and 1983. One of these postcards is a portrait of Armstrong and his wife, Ellen Dunlap, on their honeymoon. Print information follows.
