The collection consists of 131 images related to the American Civil War. Subjects follow.

Box 1 -- 96 images of Ulysses S. Grant, his family and military colleagues, and one print of Abraham
Lincoln from 1862;
Box 2 -- 35 images of Civil War materials including a military hospital compound, cities during the Civil
War, army encampments, and battlefields.
