Unpublished album inscribed on the cover Parteitag 1938, I containing 150 mounted photographic prints by Heinrich Hoffman (German, 1885-1957), documenting the 1938 Nuremberg Rally of the Nazi Party. Some of the album pages are annotated. The album is comprised of leaves of black card, bound with a cord in a heavy brown paper wrapper. Photographs stamped on back: Presse Illustrationen Hoffmann, Berlin. This album is one of four works that were donated to the Center by Lowell Lyndon and Elinor Goldbeck Wilkes in 1962 and were originally obtained in Germany after the second World War by their son, Lowell Lyndon Wilkes, Jr. |
