Description:

Limited edition portfolio entitled Edward Weston: Fiftieth Anniversary Portfolio, 1902-1952 (San Francisco: Grabhorn Press, 1951). The portfolio contains a printed pamphlet and 12 mounted gelatin silver prints that were selected by Edward Weston (American, 1886-1958) to represent his body of work from 1902 to 1951. The pamphlet contains a title page, colophon, an introduction by Weston written September 1951, and a list of plates. The photographs are 24.4 x 19.4 cm or smaller, and they are mounted on boards 40.7 x 35 cm. The images include a nude, portraits, landscapes, a still life, and two street scenes. From the colophon: "This edition limited to 100 copies. Bound by Perry G. Davis. Typography by the Grabhorn Press. November 1951."
