The collection holds one complete run of Camera Work, a photographic journal edited by Alfred Stieglitz and published from 1903 to 1917. The collection contains some second copies of different numbers as well as loose plates. The total number of images (971) were created by various photographers. A detailed breakdown plus reproductions of the images in each issue is published in Camera Work: A Pictorial Guide, edited by Marianne Fulton Margolis, a copy of which is located in the Center's library (call number TR 653 C34 1978 HRC-P). The photographers and the artists whose works are reproduced in the journal follow. |
